September Digital Painting - contd.

Black and white study 2 - now the thing about this, is that it's my first 100% digital painting - no drawing and scanning, just straight into photoshop. Excellent! Still needs more tonal variation, but I did go from reference so it's now just a matter of perserverance.

This was an unfinished piece - it looks very dark, but actually, the technique really started to come together, so I've added as reference for myself... leading on to the next one.

So, yesterdays sketches...
and black and white study... not sure about this one - it didn't come out well. But it's a start. I'm having a go with a few tonal studies at the moment.

Figure Drawing - so, I went to a figure drawing session - severerly of practice, but loads of fun. I found the wine a bit of a distraction, but fun all the same. I've made cartoons instead of something a little more, um, fine arty... I'll keep going with it... 30 second, 2 minute and 5 minute poses.


Daily Sketches - felt inspired today, found a new corner of inspiration.

September has begun... still working on a tonal study of one of the August ladies. This is the month of working on hands and feet, so September studies coming your way.
